RICS homebuyer report
This is a detailed inspection and the most popular service that we offer to buyers of a new home.
Once the survey has been completed, you will be issued with a full report. In a format designed by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), the report will provide you with important information regarding the property’s condition.
This generally covers:
- Any serious defect and urgent repairs required
- Colour coded condition rating for each part of the building making the report easy to understand
- Serious risks and hazards such as structural movement, damp and timber defects
- Any issues which need to be referred to the legal advisers
- Actions that should be taken before contracts are exchanged
The report includes a market valuation, with commentary on whether or not the property is a reasonable purchase based on the agreed price.
