Geoff Butterworth

Geoff has over 45 years experience of working as a Chartered Surveyor in North Wales having qualified as a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors in 1970.

After studying in the Liverpool college of Building, Geoff initially worked for the District Valuers in Bangor. Shortly afterwards he established his own residential and commercial surveying and estate agency business known locally as ‘Butterworths’. Geoffrey Butterworth Chartered Surveyors, as we know it, was set up in 1996 by Geoff.

During the past 45 years, Geoff has gained an unrivalled knowledge of the North Wales property market and is as enthusiastic now as when he first began! When not on the golf course, Geoff enjoys sailing and supporting his football team, Manchester City.

Lyn Evans

Lyn has over 30 years of experience working as a general practice surveyor across North Wales.

Lyn has worked with a number of reputable surveying organisations during his career as a Surveyor. More recently as an Office Manager and area Surveyor for Countrywide Surveyors based in Colwyn Bay. Lyn joined Geoffrey Butterworth Chartered Surveyors as a Director in 2007 supporting the growth of the business.

Lyn’s pastimes include playing golf, fishing and DIY.

James Butterworth

James’ property career began within the Estate Management department at Oxford Brookes University, where he graduated with an honours degree in 1997.

James’ first role was with King Sturge in Manchester, where, at the time he became the youngest qualified Chartered Surveyor at the age of 23. James had a successful career with the company, specialising in commercial property investment for which he was rewarded by becoming a Partner at the firm.

In 2009 James moved back to North Wales to join forces with his father, Geoff, becoming a Director at Geoffrey Butterworth Chartered Surveyors. Here, James has built on his commercial background while developing his knowledge of the North Wales residential market.

When not spending time with his young family, James unwinds by playing golf and enjoying good food and wine.
